Inmate allegedly involved in altercation at jail

A Floyd County Jail inmate garnered an additional felony terroristic threats and acts and misdemeanor obstruction after a verbal altercation with police Wednesday afternoon, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Corun Jason Sellars, 23, of 2526 New Calhoun Highway, had been in the Floyd County Jail since April 23.

After the verbal altercation, Sellars refused to obey commands and was escorted to lockdown, reports stated.

He continued to try to verbally intimidate the officers, and told them, “You may not make it home tonight anyways,” reports stated.

Sellars was previously jailed on a probation violation.

He remained in jail Wednesday afternoon.
