Former Chickamauga teacher Tonya Craft, who was acquitted in May of child molestation, has premiered her new radio show “The Truth of the Matter with Tonya Craft” on WGOW’s 102.3 FM. The show will air every other Tuesday from 3 to 4 p.m.

“I’m not here to hold anything back,” Craft said. “I’m going to ask the tough questions and take a closer look at all aspects of the legal system and cases similar to mine.”

Craft, 38, was found not guilty on 22 counts, including child molestation, aggravated child molestation and aggravated sexual battery. She had been accused of molesting three young girls, including her daughter.

Tuesday’s segment included commentary from Scott King, a member of Craft’s four-member defense team.

King and Craft, along with the show’s executive producer Kevin West, fielded a couple of calls from listeners as they expressed their sympathies for Craft.

“I’m so glad that I get to talk to you,” one caller stated. “I followed you, cried with you and rejoiced with you during it all.”

The bulk of the show centered on Craft exploring the impact the media has in a case of this magnitude. Craft’s trial lasted four weeks and was reported by national news media.
