Jacksonville soldier dies in Afghanistan

A soldier from Jacksonville, Ala., has been killed in Afghanistan.

According to the Department of Defense:

Capt. Kyle A. Comfort, 27, died May 8 in Helmand province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using an improvised explosive device.

He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, in Fort Benning.
