ATLANTA (AP) — Kasim Reed will give his first commencement address as mayor of Atlanta to the graduates of Clark Atlanta University.

Reed's speech to the Class of 2010 will be on May 17 at the Georgia World Congress Center.

Reed, an Atlanta native and graduate of historically black Howard University in Washington, is an attorney and served as a Georgia lawmaker for 11 years before he was elected the city's 59th mayor in November.
