Mount Berry Square mall will open early Friday to kick off the holiday shopping season in earnest.

More than 50 stores, including Belk, Sears, Gap & Victoria’s Secret, will open at 5 a.m. to offer a full day of shopping to eager customers. JCPenney will open at 4 a.m. The center will also host a variety of special promotions in conjunction with this early opening event.



“Mount Berry Square mall is thrilled to announce our early opening event the day after Thanksgiving,” said Natasha Burroughs, marketing manager for Mount Berry Square Mall.

“ ‘Black Friday’ is the largest shopping day of the year, and we want to give our shoppers the opportunity to get a head start to take advantage of the substantial discounts and fabulous amenities at Mount Berry Square Mall.”



At 5 a.m,. Mount Berry Square greeters will be at the main carousel entrance handing out free goodie bags to the first 1,000 shoppers.

Shoppers will find coupons, giveaways & special offers from mall stores in the gift bags. Some bags will contain vouchers for $10 Mall Gift cards & one bag will contain a voucher for a $100 Mall Gift Card. Also, each bag will include a voucher for a free Georgia Lottery online ticket. Throughout the day, shoppers can stop by the Guest Services Center to register for the Santa’s Bike & Helmet drawing.

The mall will be open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
