In this role Thornton will promote the Breast Center and work with the community to schedule appointments with Floyds mobile mammography coach, a health outreach effort to bring breast health services to underserved women in the area.
Thornton attended Hershel U. Martin M.D., School of Radiologic Technology at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton.
An FMC employee for six years, Thornton previously served as the practice coordinator for Dr. James E. Collins and the Clinical Assistant at Floyd Urgent Care in Cartersville. She is a member of Hill City Baptist Church.
Thornton and her husband, Nathan, reside in the Sonoraville community in Gordon County, with their children India and Nate
