Police investigating theft

Police are investigating a theft that took place on Shorter Avenue, reports stated.

According to Rome police reports:

A purse with contents valued at $175, including a black wallet with cash inside, was stolen from a worker at a business in the 2100 block of Shorter Avenue sometime between 7:30 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. Thursday.

The wallet was reportedly found inside the men’s restroom and taken as evidence, reports stated.

Police have a possible suspect.

Burglary reported: Gold stolen

A burglary took place on Wallace Street Thursday, reports stated.

According to Rome police reports:

An air-conditioning unit, gold jewelry items, prepaid phone card and cash, valued at $1,400, were stolen from a residence on Wallace Street sometime between 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The complainant told authorities that after the rear air conditioning unit was removed from a back window, the suspect was able to gain access inside of the home where items were taken.

Plainville man charged with possession

A Plainville man was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamines Thursday night, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Police records:

Terrance Lee Culberson, 28, of 313 Riverbend Road, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamines, possession of arms by convicted felons and first offender probation, theft by shoplifting and probation violation
