A Calhoun woman was in jail on forgery charges Saturday night pending $4,850 bail.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Jamie Leigh Weldon, 28, of 103 Rutledge Drive, was arrested by Floyd County police after trying to pass a forged check at SunTrust Bank on Martha Berry Highway.

She was charged with one count of second degree forgery for the attempt and two counts of first degree forgery for earlier successful forgeries at the bank and a local grocery store.
