Dr. Lavonne K. Fore is expanding her orthodontic practice in Rome by offering iBraces, new 100% customized invisible braces designed for teenagers and adults seeking an aesthetic alternative to standard metal braces.

Fore is one of the first orthodontists nationwide certified to offer this new system for straightening teeth. Both she and her certified orthodontic assistant, Kelley Hardin, recently attended an iBraces advanced training course in New York.

iBraces, originally developed in Europe and widely used in Germany and France, were recently introduced in the United States. The braces feature customized brackets and wires that are designed for each patient and then fabricated using the latest in computer and rapid prototyping technologies. iBraces are placed on the backside of the teeth so they are hidden from view. Because they are customized for each patient, they offer very efficient and effective treatment. iBraces are designed to be very comfortable for patients to wear.

“Many patients, particularly adult professionals and older teens, want to have their teeth straightened but are not comfortable wearing traditional braces” Fore said in a prepared statement. “I like being able to offer iBraces to patients. It is particularly good for individuals who ask for Invisalign. This is a much better alternative for many of those patients.”

Fore has been in private practice of orthodontics since 1990. She is a current member and past president of Quota International of Rome, a current member and past board member of Rome Rotary, and a member and past president of the Floyd County Dental Society. Her office is at 402 North Fourth Ave. Her office may be reached at 706-291-0383.
