Fire burns about 450 acres at Cherokee, Georgia line


Authorities are investigating a woods fire that destroyed some 450 acres in Cherokee County and part of Georgia and threatened some structures Sunday afternoon, Oct. 21. The fire was reported around 2:06 p.m. on Cherokee County Road 8 near the Georgia-Alabama state line.
