Allen Pledger promoted to staff sergeant. Pledger has more than 11 years of service with the Floyd County Sheriffs Office CSO and has worked in many varying capacities as a shift sergeant and deputy in the Court Services and Warrants Division. Pledger has various applicable certifications that include professional management, senior deputy and basic law enforcement certification. In addition, Pledger is a six-year veteran of the United States Air Force.
Donald Wallace promoted to sergeant. Wallace has more than six years service with the FCSO and has performed duties as a jail officer, senior deputy and corporal in Juvenile and Superior Courts. Wallace is a jail officer, peace officer, CIT and courtroom security certified.
David Gaudreau promoted to sergeant. Gaudreau has more than three years service with the FCSO and has quickly worked his way through the ranks of corporal and senior deputy. Gaudreau holds an associates degree in allied health science and aerospace and is a former member of the Air Force, with 22 years of duty and service.
Dana Thompson promoted to corporal. Thompson has more than five years of combined service with the FCSO. Thompson is jail officer and senior deputy certified and has worked with Juvenile Court, Civil/Jail and Warrants Divisions of the Floyd County Sheriffs Office.
Brad Smith promoted to corporal. Smith has been employed for eight years with the FCSO. Smith has served as an investigator with the RomeFloyd Metro Task Force and within the ranks of the Warrants Division. In addition to being jail officer and basic law enforcement certified, Smith is also a certified sniper and SWAT officer.
