Firefighters were called to a woods fire on the Floyd/Bartow county line this afternoon, authorities said.

According to Rome-Floyd County Emergency Management Director Scotty Hancock and Rome-Floyd E-911:

Rome Fire Department units were dispatched to the blaze, which started off Bailey Road and ran below the Bartow County line, shortly after 12:30 p.m.

Officials did not have an estimate of the number of acres burned, but said no injuries were reported and no structures were damaged. Georgia Forestry Commission units were called to the scene to plow a break around the fire.
