A Trion man was arrested early Wednesday morning, accused of fighting with police, reports stated.

According to jail records:

Jeffrey Bruce Hardy, 32, of 115 Second St., Trion, was charged with two counts of obstruction, two counts of attempted removal of firearms from police, four counts of battery and one count of simple battery.

Hardy became belligerent about 12:30 a.m. while at Floyd Medical Center for a mental evaluation. When officers tried to subdue him, Hardy fought and tried to get officers’ pistols. He was taken to jail after being cleared by FMC.

Bond was not set Wednesday.
