The Rome Braves haven’t had an abundance of rain-outs at home this season, but the road has been a different story.

Scheduled to play the Columbus Catfish in the third game of a four-game set at Golden Park on Wednesday night, the Braves instead were given the day off when an afternoon shower left the field in unplayable condition.

The game will be made up today as part of a doubleheader that begins at 5 p.m. The two games, each scheduled for seven innings, are the Braves’ final road games of the season.

The Braves have now had six road games postponed by rain, including three this month. Conversely, the Braves have just two rainouts at home.

The Braves close out the regular season with a four-game series against Savannah beginning Friday
