Miss Godwin is a 2001 graduate of Forsyth Central High School and a 2005 graduate of Berry College with a degree in marketing. She was a member of the high school mock trial team, colorguard captain and dance team captain, and a member of Students Against Drunk Driving (SADD), National Honor Society, Beta Club and choir. She was also a member of college intramural sports teams and dean’s list, and was Miss Berry College 2004. She is employed at Berry College.
The bride-elect is the sister of Kate Godwin and Valerie Godwin, both of Cumming. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. Clayton Clark Jr. of Dawsonville, Judy C. Godwin of Smyrna and the late Col. Jerry L. Godwin.
Chupp is a 2001 graduate of Guntersville High School and a 2005 graduate of Berry College with degrees in economics and math. He was a member of his high school marching band, was low brass section leader, was a member of National Honor Society and President of FBLA. In college, he was also a member of Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, Who’s Who recipient, and was a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon economics honor society, Kappa Mu Epsilon math honor society, Phi Mul Alpha Sinfonia, symphonic band and jazz band. He is employed as a graduate assistant at Georgia State University in Atlanta.
The groom-elect is the brother of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Chupp Jr. of Guntersville and Meriel Chupp of Arab. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Don Chupp Sr. of Arab and the late Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Lanham.
The private wedding is planned for Saturday, July 2, 2005, in Frost Chapel at Berry College. A reception will follow at Heritage Hall. Invitations will be sent
