The Rome Board of Education named Robert Costley the new principal of Rome Middle School at a called meeting today.

Costley, currently assistant principal at Carrollton Junior High School, will replace Randy Phillips, who will become an administrator in the Rome City Schools central office July 1.

“It’s hard to express how excited my family is to be coming to a community where so many things are so positive,” Costley said of his soon-to-be home. “Most of all I’m looking forward to meeting the people of Rome and being able to say I’m part of that community.”
