Greg Freeman of Cartersville and Nancy Sears of Adairsville announce the engagement of their daughter Allison Freeman of Rome to Mark Pledger, son of J.B. and Shirley Cantrell of Rome.

Miss Freeman is a 1995 graduate of Armuchee High School and a 2004 graduate of Coosa Valley Technical College with an associate’s degree in computer programming.

The bride-elect is the sister of Heather Gordon of Rome. She is the granddaughter of Willard and Doris Freeman of Rome and the late Henry and Florence Carnes.

Pledger is a 1990 graduate of Coosa High School and attended Floyd College. He is employed at Excel Homes in Cartersville.

The groom-elect is the brother of Susan Tate of Rome and Dinah Crosby of Gainesville.

The wedding is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, at Chapel at the Park in Gatlinburg, Tenn. A reception will follow at Gatlinburg Wedding Center. Invitations will be sent
