Kenneth Hicks of Roxboro, N.C. and Sandra Hicks of Hurdle Mills, N.C. announce the engagement of their daughter Donna Elizabeth Hicks of Tallahassee, Fla., to C. Baker Wright IV of Monticello, Fla., son of Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Wright III of Rome and Mr. and Mrs. George Schneider of Santee, S.C.

Miss Hicks is a 1996 graduate of Person High School in Roxboro, a 2000 graduate of Meredith College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and a 2002 graduate of Florida State University with a Master of Science degree in special education. She is employed at Cobb Middle School in Tallahassee teaching sixth, seventh and eighth grade self-contained special education.

The bride-elect is the sister of Stephen Hicks of Hurdle Mills. She is the granddaughter of Ted and Betty Hicks of Roxboro and the late Elwood and Rosemary Harris.

Wright is a 1994 graduate of Darlington School, a 1998 graduate of Hampden Sydney College with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and a 2000 graduate of East Carolina University with a Master of Arts degree in psychology. He was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity and is employed at Behavior Management Consultants in Tallahassee.

The groom-elect is the brother of Mary Margaret Ryan of Richmond, Va. He is the grandson of Peggy Wright of Rome, the late C.B. Wright Jr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hackett.

The private wedding is planned for 7 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 2004, at Charleston Harbor Hilton Resort in Mount Pleasant, S.C. Invitations will be sent
