RICHMOND, Va. — Kyle Busch celebrated his 24th birth-day with a trip to Victory Lane at Richmond International Raceway.

Busch passed Jeff Gordon for the lead with 48 laps to go in Saturday night’s race to complete a sweep at Richmond. He passed Carl Edwards with 22 laps to go to win Friday night’s Nationwide Series race.

It is Busch’s series-best third Cup win of the season.

He’s just the second driver in NASCAR history to celebrate his birthday with a victory. Cale Yarborough did it twice, celebrating his March 27th birthday with wins at North Wilkesoboro in 1977 and Atlanta in 1983.

Tony Stewart was second, followed by Jeff Burton, Ryan Newman and Mark Martin.
