Recycling center is worth nominal fee

I pay for regular garbage and trash pick-up, and find it convenient to dispose of all kinds of worn electrical and electronic equipment, worn tools and hazardous waste at the Rome-Floyd Recycling Center. It would be shortsighted to close it. Rome will survive this economic setback and continue to grow, and the recycling center will still to be a big plus for both present and future homeowners and businesses. If it is necessary to add a nominal fee to property taxes to keep it open, I have no objection.

Suppose the City of Rome closes the recycling center: Where will homeowners or renters dispose of their used electronic equipment and hazardous waste? Along Floyd County highways away from their homes! What a blight that could be to the appearance of our Floyd County roads.
