Dr. Brad Bushnell, the Vice-Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine at Harbin Clinic, recently received his Subspecialty Certificate in Sports Medicine from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Bushnell is the first Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Harbin Clinic to obtain this designation, which involves an in-depth practice review and a national exam. Surgeons with a Subspecialty Certificate must also be Board-Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and complete an accredited one-year Sports Medicine Surgery Fellowship.

Bushnell completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he helped care for Tar Heel athletes. He also completed his Sports Medicine Fellowship at the prestigious Steadman-Hawkins Clinic in Denver, Colorado, where he helped care for the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies. In Rome, Dr. Bushnell is on the medical staff of the Rome Braves and Berry College, where he is also a member of the college's Board of Visitors. Bushnell maintains a commitment to Sports Medicine not only as a surgeon, but also as President of the Harbin Clinic Sports Health Foundation. He is also an avid triathlete and a Little League coach.
