State officials have done much in recent years to make Georgia a destination for movie makers.

Tax breaks and other incentives have lured big-budget movies such as "X-Men: First Class" and the Miley Cyrus film "The Last Song" to Coastal Georgia, as well as TV productions such as Oprah Winfrey's "LoveTown USA" and several episodes of "Royal Pains."

But there is another thing the state can do to encourage more movies to be filmed in the region, according to state Rep. Ron Stephens, R-Savannah.

More Tax Breaks for Hollywood...... YES!!!! Because we need to support the Liberals even more as well as take away from our tax rolls........... Another great idea from the RIGHT.....

Lowering taxes for the movie industry in Georgia is not a bad idea. If more movie makers come film in Georgia because we lowered their taxes, that's not giving us less revenue than before. That's more revenue than before, when there were few movie makers here. And that also pumps lots of money into other Georgia businesses. I talked to a man who raises rabbits, and the makers of the upcoming Hunger Games movie bought several of his rabbits for props.
