A Coosa woman was taken into custody Saturday afternoon following an altercation at her residence near Coosa High School.

According to Floyd County jail reports:

Patricia O. Donaldson, 57, of 33 Fairhaven Drive in Rome, was arrested after battering a victim in the head, causing eye and face injuries. She is accused of then grabbing a kitchen knife and advancing toward the victim until a witness forced her to drop the knife.

Documents on file at the jail indicate Donaldson then got into her vehicle and drove it at the victim.

She was charged with felony aggravated assault, misdemeanor battery and two counts of misdemeanor cruelty to children. The incidents are alleged to have been witnessed by two minors.

Donaldson is being held in the Floyd County jail without bond.
