Chicken coop fight leads to assault charge

A woman swore out a warrant for a Silver Creek man after she said he hit her in the arm with a garden hoe during an argument over a chicken coop, according to Floyd County Jail warrants.

Daryl Dewayne Little, of 33A Woodberry Drive, is accused of causing the alleged victim’s upper arm to bruise after the verbal altercation about whether or not he could take the chicken coop.

He is charged with felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor battery.

He remained in jail late Thursday night.
