Rome police are investigating the theft from a downtown restaurant of metal bank doors and teller cages believed to be approximately 100 years old.

According to a Rome Police Department report:

An employee of La Marie’s, 201 Broad St., notified police that the antique metal items were missing and were last seen on the premises two weeks ago.

Newell Recycling advised that they may have received the missing items.
