Drug charges were dropped for a Rome man who is accused of concealing merchandise in his pants and coat in the West Rome Walmart, reports stated.

According to Rome police reports:

Cody Vann Ball, 29, of 16 Westlyn Drive, was jailed on misdemeanor shoplifting charges after police and a Walmart loss prevention officer confronted Ball in the sporting goods section.

Officers reportedly found Ball in possession of a cell phone, two DVDs, a gun tripod, an “iPod Car Player” and a cloth wipe.

He was originally charged with drug charges but those charges were dropped after a magistrate hearing.
