Two vehicles were involved in a wreck Tuesday morning near Ga. 140 and Ridgeview Drive. (Doug Walker, RN-T.com)
According to Cpl. Brian Blankenship, with the GSP post in Cartersville:
Benjamin Stroup, 25, was charged in the 8 a.m. wreck. He was driving westbound on Ga. 140 in a 1997 Jeep Cherokee and turned in front of a 2006 Chevrolet HHR, driven by Samantha Maye Wade, 35, also of Adairsville.
Stroup was trying to turn onto Ridge View Drive in Bartow County when the wreck occurred. There were no passengers in either vehicle.
Stroup’s vehicle went down the embankment of Ga. 140 and overturned.
Both were sent to Floyd Medical Center in Rome. They were treated and released from the hospital later on Wednesday, hospital spokesman Bill Fortenberry said.
