Police say the unidentified 17-year-old girl was standing in a parking space Friday trying to save it for someone.
Police say the teen and 41-year-old Angela Cornett argued before Cornett hit the girl with her car. Authorities say the incident was recorded on surveillance cameras.
Cornett told the Daily Tribune of Cartersville
that she never hit the teen and said the girl leaned against her car.
Police on Tuesday released video of the incident.
A call to Cornett's house was not answered Tuesday.
The teen had a scuff mark to her knee but did not suffer any serious injuries, police said.
Cartersville is about 45 miles northwest of Atlanta.

Sometimes in this life, if you make a stupid decision like "hmmm, I think I'll stand here and block this person from parking in a parking space to which they are legitimately entitled" you might end up losing the battle. Government and mommy can't always save you from the consequences of your decisions.
Its ok for an adult to act childish and be a bully threatening someone with a vehicle.
It makes me wonder if any of your parents had children that lived above the neck.
Had the driver also been 17 and got out of her car and beat the girl down, there'd be no story here. It's the way things are today.
For example, go to the movies, wait in line, and all of a sudden a bunch of punks break in the front of the line. You can either smile and thank the Lord that there are such wonderful kids around, or you can say something to them and go to jail.
By your logic, I could get with 400 of my buddies and go stand in every parking space at Kroger for the entire day and nothing could be done about it. Not saying the driver was right in what she did, but guess what, sometimes Stupidity gets met with Stupidity. All the lady needs is one person on her jury who feels like I do.
So let me be more clear Georgia law DOES NOT SAY that pedestrians ALWAYS have the right of way.
My proof?
§ 40-6-92. Crossing roadway elsewhere than at crosswalk
(a) Every pedestrian crossing a roadway at any point other than within a marked crosswalk or within an unmarked crosswalk at an intersection shall yield the right of way to all vehicles upon the roadway unless he has already, and under safe conditions, entered the roadway.
(b) Any pedestrian crossing a roadway at a point where a pedestrian tunnel or overhead pedestrian crossing has been provided shall yield the right of way to all vehicles upon the roadway if he uses the roadway instead of such tunnel or crossing.
(c) Between adjacent intersections at which traffic-control signals are in operation, pedestrians shall not cross at any place except in a marked crosswalk.
(d) No pedestrian shall cross a roadway intersection diagonally unless authorized by official traffic-control devices. When authorized to cross diagonally, pedestrians shall cross only in accordance with the official traffic-control devices pertaining to such crossing movements.
If you read Article 5 of Title 40, all of which I will not bore you with, you'll see that the legislature never gives right of way to pedestrians under all circumstances.
However, I will propose this new law "In the event a person should stand and block legal travel, it will be the responsibility to turn around and go home and hope that the person will allow them safe passage at a later date" :P
And I guess I will have to remember this when when you id10ts walk out of wall mart with out looking and assume that I will stop. I guess since I'm in the vehicle and you are impeding my travel I have more than enough cause to just run you over.
And people wonder what the f is wrong with this country.
Bet every one of you can be found in the front row of church every Sunday.
Ms. Cornett will end up paying a fine for hitting the girl, and the girl will receive a settlement from the Ms. Cornett's insurance company.
