Authorities are investigating an armed robbery that took place just after 9 a.m. today, in which at least two masked men with guns entered a Ringgold bank, then fled the scene.

The robbery occurred at the Catoosa Teacher Federal Credit Union on Gateway Drive, just off Smitherman Road, near I-75 at exit 350.

Members of the Ringgold Police Department, Catoosa County Sheriff's Office, and Georgia Bureau of Investigation are on the scene, but law enforcement officials have yet to comment on the incident.

A source close to the investigation said no one is believed to have been hurt during the robbery, but that there were at least two armed suspects, and that employees and patrons that were in the building at the time were able to give a description of the vehicle that the men took off in.
