2 boys, ages 13 and 18, killed in East Alabama SUV crash

PHENIX CITY, Ala. (AP) — Authorities in eastern Alabama are investigating a one-vehicle wreck that claimed the lives of two teenagers.

Russell County Coroner Arthur Sumbry Jr. identified the teens as 18-year-old Khadijah R. Core of Opelika; and 13-year-old Jaquon Trimble of Alexander City.

They were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in Russell County around 6:30 p.m.Sunday.

The coroner tells the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer that Core was driving the Jeep Grand Cherokee that rolled over and went off Gullatt Road.
