Calhoun Middle Schooler Rachel Novak has signed not one but two contracts to advance her career. Rachel has been singing and acting since she was eight years old.

“Every year she takes another step forward. She just signed two contracts this week with a huge agent in Atlanta and one in L.A. for acting and modeling. The more agents you have the more opportunity and exposure you get. You can only have one agent per state so she now has three,” said Rachel’s mother, Julie Novak.

“In June of 2013 she will be filming a zombie movie and already is getting ready to audition for The X Factor and America’s Got Talent.”

“For the last three years Rachel was invited to sing at the Music Festival Riverbend and the Dalton Fair by the staff at Ambiance Performing Arts of Chattanooga,” said Julie.

“As she grew in her singing she was introduced to vocal coach and owner of Fireball Music Studio in Hixson, Tennessee, Karen Alayne, who worked with American Idol runner-up Lauren Alaina Suddeth!”

“Since then Rachel has been booked every weekend in Georgia and all over Tennessee singing at County Fairs, Beauty Pageants, is a regular at Chattanooga’s downtown ‘Sing It or Wing It’ and ‘Magoos.’ She is the reigning Supreme Talented Teen Miss of Paulding County,” Julie added.

Rachel’s rising stardom is just one of her many accomplishments. She is active in 4-H, chorus, drama club and is on the Calhoun Middle School Honor Roll. According to her mother, she makes time in her personal life for hobbies such as swimming, bowling, dancing, playing guitar, piano and trumpet.

“More than anything she enjoys being on stage and the bigger the crowd the better she performs,” said Julie.
