The exhibition will show off skills developed for competition routines prepared for the 2013 meet season. Gymnastics levels 4-10 will perform routines on vault, bars, beam and floor.
The December exhibition helps the teams prepare for meet season, including the Roman Team Challenge meet hosted in Rome on January 5-6. Head Coach Matt Zollitsch says, “The team has diligently trained for the upcoming season; this event will be their first test for 2013. The exhibition is also a great community event because it gives parents and kids a chance to see what gymnastics is all about.”
The exhibition is free and open to the public. It will be held at the RFPRA Gymnastics Center located at 1 Shorter Avenue in Rome, Georgia.
The gymnastics center is a state-of-the-art gymnastics facility complete with two in-ground pits, one channel pit bar, uneven bars with resi mats, in-ground tumble trak, separate recreational and competitive equipment, and all the standard gymnastics and tumbling equipment. The facility also features viewing areas spanning the width of the gym. The building of this facility was made possible through the 2006 SPLOST funding.
