Man arrested on credit card fraud charges

A Rome man was arrested Thursday after he was accused of making numerous fraudulent transactions with stolen credit cards between July 29 and Oct. 2, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the reports:

Jason Jackson Wallace, 33, of 125 Echota Circle, was charged with two felony counts of financial transaction card fraud, misdemeanor financial transaction card fraud and misdemeanor theft by taking.

Wallace is accused of using two credit cards from one victim to make purchases totaling more than $7,500 as well as taking four guitars and a Husqvarna leaf blower from a residence.

Wallace also used another person’s credit card to make purchases totaling more than $400. He remained in jail Thursday night without bond.
