A senior at Ringgold High School was selected to be a member of the 2013 U.S. Army All-American Marching Band.

Asa Albritton will play the sousaphone with an elite group of 125 musicians and color guard members in a performance during halftime of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

Held in the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, the game will be televised live on NBC on Saturday, Jan. 5, at 1 p.m.

This is the second time in two years a Ringgold band student was picked for the honor. Evan Brock played in the 2012 Army band.

For more than twelve years, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl has been a national premier high school football game, serving as the preeminent launching pad for America’s future college and NFL stars. The 2012 game drew a crowd of 39,011 to the Alamodome and was the most-watched sporting event on television over the weekend, excluding the NFL playoffs.
