Man charged with possession, obstruction

A Rome man was charged early Saturday morning after he allegedly had methamphetamine in his possession and ran from police officers, according to a Floyd County Jail report.

According to the report:

Brandon Shawn Griffin, 35, of 5 Conn St., was charged near an Edgewood Avenue residence with a felony count of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and two misdemeanor counts of obstruction or hindering law enforcement officers.

He remained in jail Saturday night.
