WELL, IT SEEMS that the America as I have known it all my life has drastically changed. Instead of the “Land of the free and the home of the brave” we seem to have become a land of legal marijuana, where the destruction of Biblical marriage and the Biblical family has become commonplace, a land where killing babies in their mother’s wombs is okay, and where the majority of people want our government to be their provider.

How did this happen to America? My heart was so heavy after the election results that I couldn’t sleep well and early in the morning I went to my source of comfort, my Bible. I asked God to give me something that would refresh my spirit. I was led to Psalm 73. I urge you who are sick at heart, as I am about the election results, to read the whole Psalm. One thing I will share here is verse 16, “When I tried to understand all this, it was oppressive to me till I entered the sanctuary of God.” Another is verse 26, “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever”. And verse 28, “But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge; I will tell of all Your deeds”.

We, who know the Bible, know that no leader is elected or appointed unless God allows it, and in some cases that is very difficult to understand.

So today, in spite of the earthly circumstances that seem very discouraging, I pray that we who “trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding” will use this time to aggressively further His kingdom here on earth. I pray that this will be the catalyst for a great revival in America!

Mr. Keiser, i was in agreement to your opinion until you wrote"We, who know the Bible, know no leader is elected or appointed unless God allows it."Is it your belief no one would be robbed, raped or murdered unless God allows it? No raped female would conceive a child unless God allowed it? My God doesn't "allow" evil and sin. My God provides a means to forgiveness and atonement.Evil exists from the lowest of the low to the highest of the high, and doesn't ask God's permission.

Harvey,

You Wrote: "WELL, IT SEEMS that the America as I have known it all my life has drastically changed. I Reply: Really????? Let's examine shall we.

Since when does your preferred candidate losing an election does stop America from being Land of the free and home of the brave?

Our Military is still on station worldwide protecting our freedoms.....Each day our soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines suit up and venture into harms way to make sure of this. So who are you to denigrate their sacrifices because your feelings are hurt.

As to Biblical marriage....What is that exactly? Abraham had 3 wives...Moses had 2 and so on and on. Fathers could sell daughters into slavery and marriage according to the bible. So tell me....Other than wanting to hate on gays since when did the bible provide a good reference for marriage? ...

As to the constant right wing chant that people want government to be their provider...

This is total BS....When you start repeating the rants of Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh and FOX you lose any credibility as a serious person.

The bottom line is that America is in fact changing....For the better...

By the year 2020 Georgia will turn from one of the reddest of the red states to a battleground possibly blue state.

So hang on tight....the ride into the 21st century is just beginning down in dixie.

Rhuidean - couldn't have said it better myself.

I am amazed and often disgusted by my fellow "Christians" who use Biblical references out of context to further their own hateful beliefs. (Show me where Jesus said ANYTHING about homosexuality.) Additionally, I love how everyone forgets the fact that the other Presidential nominee was in fact Mormon, and while he may have had just one wife himself, polygamy is a common practice in that religion.

Also, I would like for Harvey to explain how marijuana is dangerous for America, yet alcohol is not. Really, Harvey? Do even a little bit of research on that subject. We can count the many lives lost to liver disease and DUI accidents or talk to the families of alcoholics to see how it has hurt their lives. I'm not saying we should reinstate prohibition or anything, just making a point.

I also agree with your statement about our armed forces, Rhuidean. Letters like this belittle their sacrifices.

Fortunately for our letter writer, this IS still the Land of the Free, as is obvious by his ability to voice his opinion on the government.
