Rome man charged with statutory rape

Rome police charged a man with statutory rape and giving false information to police early Friday morning, according to jail reports.

According to the reports:

Andrew Nathaniel Nunez, 20, of 6½ Sycamore St., had sex with a person “under the age of 16 years old,” according to information at the jail. When confronted by police he lied about his age.
