An air conditioner and copper wiring were taken from a North Rome house, totaling more than $5,000 in damage.

According to Rome police reports:

The owner of the Roseway Circle residence that was broken into reported to police Friday that the entire air conditioning unit was taken, along with copper electrical wiring pulled from the breaker box underneath the house.

Included in the damage was a back door that had been kicked in during the theft.

Police did not know the extent of the monetary damage done to the electrical wiring, but reported the replacement of the air conditioner would be costly.

There were no suspects at the time of the report.
