How it happened:
Greensboro scored runs in the second, third, fifth and seventh innings. Robby Hefflinger scored the Braves’ only run in the bottom of the ninth.
Who did what for Rome: Will Skinner was the only Braves player with multiple hits. He went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Ross Heffley, William Beckwith, Hefflinger, Kyle Kubitza and Cory Brownsten each had hits.
On the mound: Fabian Williams took the loss for the Braves, and he dropped to 1-3 on the season. He pitched five innings, gave up four hits, two earned runs, walked two and struck out one. David Filak and Wilson Rivera pitched in relief.
Game notes: The loss was the fifth straight for the Braves, including four straight to the Grasshoppers at SMS. With Lexington’s loss Saturday night, the Braves maintained a
2½ game lead in Southern Division of the South Atlantic League.
