Henzlee Meg Zebeau and Stewart Lee Ayers, both of Cedartown, were married at 6 p.m. Saturday June 2, 2012 at First Methodist Church in Cedartown.

The bride is the daughter of Marty and Paige Robinson of Cedartown. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Broadway of Cedartown.

The Groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Ayers of Cedartown. He is the grandson of the late Randolph and Anna Ayers and the late Thomas Cambron and Dot Cambron.

The Reverend Dave Grove perfomed the double-ring ceremony before family and friends. Family seating was designated by balls of hydrangea and asparagus ferns, each with a gold brooch belonging to the groom’s grandmother the late Anna Ayers.

George Barton, pianist, performed a “Canon in D” along with other traditional wedding songs.

Emilee Atkins, cousin of the bride, served as ,maid of honor. Kelsey Sanders was matron of honor. Bridemaids were Ashlea West, cousin of the bride, Hannah Benefield and Julia Taff. All ladies wore black one-shoulder floor length gowns each carrying a bouquet of hydrangea.

Flower girls were Molly and Anna Edge, cousins of the groom. Both girls wore off white dresses with matching rose colored sashes and carried soft petals to pave the path of the bride.

Tom Ayers, father of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Andy Ayers, cousin of the groom, Clayton Fandry, Allen Pruitt and Russ Sanders all of Cedartown.

Ushers were Hayden Price, brother of the bride, Aaron Maxwell and Joe Berry, cousins of the groom. Daniel West, cousin of the bride, was the ringbearer. All men wore black tuxedoes and white shirts.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. She wore a champange antique halter style gown with Italian lace, beads and sequins. She also wore a matching champagne-colored veil. Her neck was adorned with a pearl necklace and earrings belonging to her grandmother Margaret Broadway. The bride carried a bouquet of fresh-cut flowers and included several old brooches belonging to the groom’s grandmother, Anna Ayers.

Both the mothers of the bride and groom wore mid-length black dresses.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Cherokee Country Club in Cedartown. Refreshments included the bride’s three-tiered red velvet cake with cream cheese Icing and the groom’s cake which was a single layered white cake with milk chocolate icing. Fresh hydrangeas topped the bride’s cake. The groom’s cake featured a Miami Hurricanes theme.

The evening before the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a “Hawiian Luau” rehersal dinner for the wedding party, family and close friends held at the Cherokee Country Club.

Other prenuptial parties included a Christmas Shower hosted by Gwen Tuck and Rachel Graves, a Stock the Bar party hosted by Julia Taff and Rachel Edge, A Micellaneous Shower hosted by Gail Stubblefield, Tami Atkins, Candace Howard, Pam Mears, Dena McCain and Dawn Gilbert, A Boots and Pearls Party Hosted by Mickey and Eddard Graves, Laura and Miles Gammage, Donna and Rusty Raybun, Mike and Julia Beck, John and Susan Ayers and Patti Stewart. A Red Solo Cup Social was hosted by June and Becky Sweat and Lee Dingler at Lake Weiss. A combination bachlor/bachlorette party was held in Panama City Beach, Fla.

After a cruise to the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Cedartown.
