The Braves, who suffered one of the worst first half in the team’s history (18-52), are now on the complete opposite end of the spectrum and have the best record in the second half of the entire South Atlantic League at (29-14).
The R-Braves now have a six game lead over Asheville in the Southern Division, and will try to extend their record today when they take on the Intimidators at 5:05 p.m. today in Kannapolis, N.C.

How it happened: With the game tied at two heading into the seventh, the Braves scored a run in the inning and added two more in the ninth.
Who did what for Rome: Robby Hefflinger hit his eighth homer of the season. William Beckwith, Brandon Drury, Chase Anselment and Cory Brownsten each drove in one run.
On the mound: A.J. Holland gave up one run during five innings, Ian Thomas earned his fourth win, and David Petereson closed the game out to earn his sixth save.
