How it happened: The Rome Braves jumped out early owning a 6-0 lead after the fourth inning. The Braves tacked on one more run in the seventh and two in the ninth.

Who did what for Rome: Robby Hefflinger was 3-for-5 with a run scored, two doubles and two RBIs, William Beckwith was 2-for-5, Kyle Kubitza was 2-for-4, Will Skinner had an RBI double, Ryan Query was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Ross Heffley hit a three-run homer.

On the mound: Alex Wood earned the win for the Braves and improved to 2-2 on the season. He gave up two hits, one earned run and struck out eight through five innings. Navery Moore and Wilson Rivera pitched in relief.

Game notes: The win was the 12th straight for the Braves, which set a franchise record.

Next Game: The Braves continue their series against the Intimidators tonight at 7:05 p.m.
