Local tennis: CVTA crowns league winners

The Coosa Valley Tennis Association’s Shane’s Rib Shack League took place in June and July with competition at the 6.0, 7.0 and 8.0 levels. Teams were co-ed and competition consisted of men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles matches. Team Brannon won the 6.0 division while Team Pauley clinched the title at the 7.0 level. Team Powell took the top spot at the 8.0 level. Winning teams at each level received $100 in Shane’s Bucks to be redeemed for menu items at Shane’s Rib Shack.
