Three vehicles were involved in a wreck on U.S. 27 at Russell Field Rd. and one woman was taken to the hospital at approximately 4:15 p.m. on Monday afternoon, according to Georgia State Patrol Pfc. Donnie Cochran.

According to Cochran:

The driver of a black Chrysler Pacifica with a Floyd County tag was driving southbound on U.S. 27 when she attempted to turn left onto Russell Field Rd. and struck a gold Volvo that was traveling northbound on U.S. 27.

The impact flipped the Pacifica and it came to rest on its side after colliding with the front of a white Jeep Grand Cherokee that was stopped at a stop sign on Russell Field Rd.

The driver of the Pacifica was extracted from the rear of the vehicle and taken to Redmond Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries.

Two children that were passengers in the gold Volvo reported complaints of pain but were not taken to the hospital.

It is not yet known if citations will be issued.
