Hundreds answer call for bat volunteers

Georgians are batty about bats.

A call for volunteers to assist in a long-term survey of bats across the state drew hundreds of responses recently.

“Just in the first day alone I must’ve had a hundred calls,” said Trina Morris, wildlife biologist with the Wildlife Resources Division’s Nongame Conservation Section.
