The turning point:

The Braves jumped out to a 3-0 lead after

scoring two runs in the third and one in the fourth. Rome added

some much-needed

insurance runs by

adding one in the fifth, and two more in the seventh.



Who did what for Rome: Ross Heffley went 3-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI, and Will Skinner had two hits and two RBIs. Ryan Query, Robby

Hefflinger and William Beckwith each drove in one run.

On the mound: Jarrett Miller (5-2) earned the win after striking out eight over five innings of work. Fabian

Williamson pitched three shut-out innings, and Ian Marshall earned his first save of the

season by getting the

final out of the game.



Game Notes: Rome

(9-3) remains in first place and has a two-game lead over

Augusta.

Next Game: Rome hosts Kannapolis today for the series finale with first pitch set for 7 p.m.
