The driver of a van that caught fire after a wreck near the intersection of Pleasant Valley Road and Ellis Road on Thursday afternoon was taken to jail on a driving on a revoked license charge.

According to Floyd County police officer Baker Harbin:

Amanda Marie Hickman, 28, of a Wax Road address, was the driver of the van and was charged with driving on a suspended license and following too closely.

Hickman was traveling at a high rate of speed and rear-ended the other car. It appeared the fuel line of the van was damaged, and the van caught fire after the wreck.

Firefighters arrived and extinguished the fire.

There were no reports of injuries from the scene.
