2 charged with felony forgery

Two people were arrested Monday afternoon and charged with cashing forged checks at a Martha Berry Boulevard convenience store, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the reports:

Mandy Allison Todd, of 6161 Silver Hill Road, Summerville, cashed a check for $425 last month.

Rick Daniel Weatherby, 35, of 8 Don Drive, Rome, cashed two checks last month that totaled $850.

The checks were written on the same account.

Todd was charged with felony first-degree forgery and felony theft by deception. Weatherby was charged with two counts of felony first degree forgery and one count of felony theft by deception.

Both remained in the Floyd County Jail on Monday evening.
