Gold Buyers of America, a national chain with 70 locations across the country has opened a storefront in the Mount Berry Square mall.

Director of Marketing Sharon Burman said the company likes to locate in malls from traffic and a security standpoint. “That’s been our business model, we want our customers to feel secure when they come into our place,” Burman said. “We also pay them on the spot with a Master Card debit card so they’re not walking around with a lot of cash.”

Burman said the company typically chooses new locations based on population demographics and the availability, and affordability of space. The Mount Berry Square location sits just to the left of the entry to the food court.

The business, which employs four people, is open during regular mall hours.
