Representatives from King Faisal University contacted and visited GNTC about two months ago said college President Craig McDaniel.
“They have a real skill shortage,” McDaniel said. “It’s one of those things. We’re honored they chose to look at our school.”
The project is in the development phase and GNTC has submitted a proposal to the university. The proposal, if accepted, will open several positions in Saudi Arabia as soon as August or September of this year.
“We don’t have an agreement yet,” McDaniel said, but added that if an agreement is reached “we’ll have to move fast.”
“The ideal person is someone who has worked in the Middle East (in project management),” he said.
GNTC isn’t the only applicant for this project, McDaniel said. KFU representatives also visited other two other tech schools in Georgia during their recent visit.
